Theatre in Worship

This
track will focus on three areas:
1) The nuts and bolts of maintaining a theatre
worship team including planning worship
experiences, directing amateur actors,
rehearsing effectively, and locating material.
2) Effective techniques for integrating theatre
into worship including staging scripture, using
video, and creating pieces for all parts of the
service.
3) How to keep the main thing the main thing:
The purpose and theology of theatre in worship.
Participants will learn by doing as they
experience a balance of inspiration, practical
advice, and useful “how to” demonstrations—as
well as time to share ideas and resources with
others doing similar work.
