Krzysztof Kieslowski’s Decalogue

On many lists of the 100 best movies of all time, The Decalogue was produced for Polish TV in 1988. Seeking to interrogate life as to whether there are any standards by which to understand its messiness, Kieslowski produced a series of ten hour-long films correlating loosely with the Ten Commandments. The first, usually considered his finest, tells the poignant story of a university professor and his young son. A discussion of the movie will follow the screening led by Robert Johnston.  To view a trailer visit http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0092337/trailers
