THROUGH THE CITA CONSULTANCY PROGRAM

CITA is a wide ranging network of Christians who are professionals at creating theatre in schools, theatre companies, churches, touring groups and any place you find the performing arts. Through this vast network you can find the advice, resources and guidance you need.

Hire a CITA consultant . . .

· to retool your drama group in a church: from vision to execution

· to assess your theatre program in a secondary school or college/university or to plan for new programs, courses, or facilities

· to develop plans for beginning a faith-based theatre company in your community

· to take your performances on the road, from writing the script to marketing for bookings

· to hone your writing skills by dramaturgical or publishing advice from a writer

· anything else you want to do that involves the intersection of theatre and Christianity!

We will work with you to find just the right person in the CITANetwork with the training and experience to assist you in whatever needs you have. We pride ourselves on 20 plus years of developing this network of gifted theatre artists; you don’t have to reinvent the wheel!

Here’s how it works:

· Email admin@cita.org with as much information about your needs as you can; don’t worry about logistics (cost, timing, etc) at first – just let us know how you could benefit from a mentor, advisor or consultant

o Maybe a one-day visit by a consultant will jumpstart a new program or initiative

o Perhaps you want a series of workshops with your group or department

o Perhaps you would benefit from some phone or email advice

o Maybe a performance and/or directing your group would help

o The consultant could meet with your staff or administration, conduct interviews and studies – to help you craft a plan for growing your program, developing a strategic plan, etc

· We will confer with our staff and Board members about the best approach for meeting your need; we’ll take into account your locale (to save travel expenses) and the scale of your need

· Next we will contact a person (or persons) in the CITANetwork who might fit the need you have; we’ll find out if and when they might be available to visit with you (by phone, email or in person) and what the various costs would be

· Then we’ll let you know who and what we recommend and how the consultancy would work; if you decide to proceed we’ll create a contract with you and ask you for a commitment

· Your contract will include dates, times, scope of work, fees and expenses for the consultant, and a one-year membership in CITA. It will request a 20% deposit with your signature.
